Emirates expects DXB passenger rush ahead of Eid holidays

Dubai airline says it expects to see close to 100,000 passengers travelling through Terminal 3 at DXB on Friday alone

Emirates said on Tuesday that it expects Friday to be the busiest travel day for passengers looking to get away for the Eid holiday.

The busiest time for departures in Terminal 3 will be on August 9 with close to 100,000 passengers travelling through Terminal 3 at DXB, the airline said.

It reminded customers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flight departure to avoid any delays.

Peak travel is expected to start on Thursday in the evening and continue until Saturday with over 372,000 Emirates passengers travelling from Dubai, the carrier added in a statement.

“Passengers are encouraged to build in extra travel time to avoid any delays with expected traffic congestion and road works around Terminal 3 during this time,” it said.
