Dubai’s Atlantis, The Palm offered a New Year’s Eve stay in its Grand Atlantis Suite for $71,000 (AED259,250).

The iconic hotel on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah is famed for annual New Year firework displays and lively festivities. The entertainment highlight this year will see pop star Kylie Minogue perform at a New Year’s Eve gala dinner.

Front of stage Golden Circle tickets cost $2,300 (AED8,500) per person and the Australian singer will perform with a 30-piece live band.

This year it is looking to break new records for lasers as well as fireworks. The world’s tallest building will see the world’s largest laser display in the world with light beams travelling the longest distance ever.

Downtown restaurants clamour to offer the best terrace and balcony views of the show which will happen at midnight.

As would be expected the iconic Dubai hotel is offering upscale promotions for guests and visitors on New Year’s Eve.

Restaurants Sahn Eddar and Sal are advertising AED12,000 per visitor dining experiences with entertainment including dancers, aerial performers and live music, not to mention up close firework views, of course.

The hotel’s Al Falak Ballroom is expected to attract a large Russian clientele for a private concert from performer Valeriy Meladze.

Dubai Bling star DJ Bliss will perform at the iconic Downtown venue.

Ticket prices include terrace views of the Burj Khalifa fireworks.

That’s not to say it will be basic. A live band, gourmet dinner. pretty fairy lights and an international DJ are on hand for gusts wanting to spend the last night of the year under the stars and in the dunes.
