The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA – Dubai) has revealed that 562,347 passengers travelled through Dubai airports during the Eid Al Adha holiday period from June 15 to 18, 2024.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the authority, said the stay in Dubai during Eid Al Adha witnessed groups of travellers who had a rich travel experience, through the speed of completing travel transactions and the smooth flow of movement.

Dubai Residency also received flights carrying pilgrims returning from Hajj, including members of the Dubai government.
As is customary, arriving pilgrims received a stamp bearing the slogan ‘The Emirates welcomes the return of pilgrims.’
Al Marri said Dubai Residency had completed preparations for return Hajj flights from the Holy Lands by developing an integrated plan to complete integrated and comprehensive procedures in cooperation with strategic partners at the airport, confirming its full readiness.
He praised employees for their efforts during the Eid Al Adha holiday in facilitating travellers’ transactions.
Al Marri also thanked staff at external centres, service centres at airports, ports and borders for working during the holiday period.
Al Marri pointed out Dubai Residency’s constant efforts to facilitate procedures, to make the travellers’ journey through all the emirate’s ports smooth.
He said Dubai works to overcome any obstacles they may face through cooperation with all partners.
