The Gault&Millau gala awards are set to take place at Burj Al Arab on April 27. G&M brings one of the world’s most widely established fine dining food critique brands to Dubai.
The restaurants shortlisted for the 2023 edition of the prestigious awards have been officially unveiled. The awards will be distributed across 12 categories, including a new one introduced this year – Champagne Offering of the Year. Winners will be revealed on the night of the gala.
A list of 134 restaurants was also released, earlier this month, that will be included in the 2023 guide, with ratings yet to be revealed during the gala awards ceremony.

For nine months, Gault&Millau’s anonymous investigators have been sampling cuisine from different restaurants in the UAE with the aim of assessing and rating the top ones. The thorough examination spanned more than 200 restaurants, encompassing all the eateries featured in the 2022 Guide, those that missed the cut last time as well as, newly launched establishments.
Tickets for the gala are currently on sale and have limited availability. During the exclusive event, guests will be served from a specially curated menu, alongside paired fine wines. Attendees at the event will also get their hands on the second edition of the Gault&Millau guide, which features the full list of restaurants.
A digital version of the reviews will also be available post-event on the official website. Winners and updates from the night of the awards will be shared on Gault&Millau‘s official Instagram.
