Saudi budget airline Nasair will launch flights to Sana’a, Yemen from Jeddah, the company said on Tuesday.
The flights will start operating on September 2, from King AbdulAziz International Airport.
Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, CEO of National Air Services (NAS), the parent company of Nasair, said: “Sana’a is one of the main potential destinations that was included within Nasair’s strategic network plan for 2009.”
The Jeddah-Sana’a-Jeddah route will start with three flights per week, with a fourth flight added after September 19.
Nasair, the first budget airline in Saudi Arabia, has the youngest fleet of aircraft in the region with 13 aircraft.
The carrier now offers 350 flights a week to 24 destinations, 13 local to most parts of Saudi Arabia, and 11 regional to Beirut, Alexandria, Amman, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Damascus, Latakia, Kuwait, Sharm ElSheikh, Assiut and Sana’a.
