The UN Security Council will come together for an emergency meeting on Monday, following a request by the UAE.

The purpose of this meeting is to address a call from the council’s Arab representative for a binding resolution, compelling Israel to agree to a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.

On Friday, approximately one hour after Israel initiated its expanded military actions in Gaza, the UN General Assembly, consisting of 193 member states, voted in favour of a humanitarian pause with 120 countries supporting the motion, 14 opposing it, and 55 nations abstaining.

Dubai Police identify 16 new drugs in two years

Dubai Police has announced the discovery of 16 synthetic drugs following rigorous research and analysis by experts from the Forensic Evidence Department from 2022-2023.

The investigations were conducted on substances that contain harmful toxins to human health.

The agreement was signed in the presence of AlUla Development Company Managing Director Naif AlHamdan and other distinguished guests at the Maraya, the Guinness World Record holder for the world’s largest mirrored building, located in AlUla.

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) a unit of the emirate’s transport authority, is set to initiate the city’s first privatisation effort of the year, aiming to raise approximately $300 million through a share sale scheduled for next month, Bloomberg reported, citing an investor presentation.

The presentation, as revealed by insiders, discloses the company’s intentions.

As part of their upcoming initial public offering (IPO), the taxi operator plans to distribute a fourth-quarter dividend of at least AED71 million ($19 million) in April.
