Saudi Arabia expects to see agriculture sector investments reach $40bn by 2030, it was reported ahead of a major exhibition highlighting the importance of the sector in the Kingdom.
The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture is organising the 41st edition of the Saudi Agricultural Exhibition 2024, which will take place from October 21 to 24 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This exhibition to be held under the patronage of Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Alfadley is famed for being the region’s most prestigious and prominent agricultural event.
Saudi agriculture investment
It features extensive international participation from representatives of 28 countries worldwide and 370 agricultural companies from the Kingdom and abroad.
The annual fair is expected to attract nearly 20,000 specialists and stakeholders in the agriculture sector worldwide. The ministry said the Saudi Agricultural Exhibition aims to enhance the Kingdom’s national economic priorities, focusing on food security and sustainability.
It also said that the exhibition will showcase the latest technologies and future innovations in plant, animal, and fish farming sectors, reflecting the significant transformation in the agricultural sector in the Kingdom and its contribution to economic growth amid forecasts of investments in the sector to reach $40bn by 2030.
The ministry also said that the exhibition will feature a wide range of sectors, including:

- Products and services in greenhouses and irrigation
- Poultry
- Livestock
- Dairy products
- Animal feed mills
- Organic foods
- Aquaculture
- Food processing and packaging
- Animal health
- Veterinary services
