Grosvenor House hosted its highly anticipated second annual ‘Grosvenor Grammy's awards' at Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa with a ceremony which honoured the associates for their outstanding achievements, commitment, and exceptional contributions to the upkeep of the property throughout 2007.

The awards follow in the longstanding tradition of Grosvenor Houses' sister hotel - Le Royal Meridien's ‘Royal Oscars', with accolades presented to the most diligent of Grosvenor House's 900 operational associates under sixteen categories.

Associates were awarded for their loyalty, enthusiasm and the constant effort they undertake on a daily basis to ensure consistently high levels of service, and smooth running of Grosvenor House Dubai.

The seventeen categories ranged from ‘trainer of the year', ‘house keeping celebrity of the year' through to ‘kitchen service celebrity of the year'.

"The Grosvenor Grammy's are the highlight of the year for me as well as all of my associates. It is a time to sit back and look at everything we have achieved together, and then reward and recognise the individuals accordingly," commented general manager Pam Wilby.

Star of the night was Ferdous Alam who won three awards - ‘associate of the year', ‘kitchen service celebrity of the year' and ‘Grosvenor House celebrity of the year'.

Other winners include Sachin Kohli for ‘administration support service celebrity of the year' and Trisna Ary Komang who took the gong for ‘leisure celebrity of the year', whilst the banquets department was awarded ‘department of the year'.

"With so many dedicated associates across all our excellent departments, it is extremely difficult to choose but it is important to show our appreciation and thank to our fantastic team for their hard work," concluded Wilby.
