Europe’s largest hotel
operator Accor is to open two of its upscale brands in Doha by 2015, a spokesperson for the chain confirmed to Arabian Business Qatar.
The France-based company
will also launch a Pullman hotel with 468 rooms in West Bay district: a double tower
with hotel and offices, including various facilities as well as a spa.
The other upscale Accor
brand MGallery will open in Doha as a part of Msheireb
development and will be located close to the airport with 215 rooms.
“There is going to be more
Arab design with modern luxury,” the Accor Middle East spokesperson said.
The hotelier said its goal is to open 100 hotels in the Middle East by 2015. Accor already has
59 hotels in the GCC with an additional 20 hotels under development.
The
company counts over 3,500 hotels globally. Its other hotel brands include Sofitel and budget chain ibis.
