The UAE has the most powerful Arab passport, according to an annual ranking by financial firm Arton Capital.
The UAE is ranked 47 in the world in terms of the number of countries its citizens can enter without a visa or by obtaining a visa at the border (72 countries).
It is beaten by countries including Venezuela, Taiwan, Guinea, Ukraine and Romania.
The second ‘most powerful’ Arab passport is Qatar in 53 place (66 visa-free countries).
The third highest GCC state is Kuwait, ranked 55 (64 countries), followed by Saudi Arabia and Bahrain at 58 (61 countries) and Oman 64 (54 visa-free countries).
Tunisia is the highest non-GCC Arab state, ranked 58.
The rankings do not take into account equally-ranked countries. In numerical order, a UAE passport is equal 84 most powerful in the world.
The most powerful passports are American and British, with citizens able to enter 147 countries without a visa or by getting one on arrival, according to Arton Capital.
